Evaluation of the Day
Tasks to be done
- Film the protagonist (Natasha) entering library and searching for a book.
Since we were filming in the library, we had a limit of 20 minute to complete our filming session for this scene. We were able to film Natasha using extreme close ups and close ups of her as she enters the library. However, when filming this we encountered the issue of other students wanting to use the library and so our mise en scene was thrown off. As stated above, we were on a time limit so decided to use our time to our advantage and film the remaining parts, leaving Natasha's entrance to another filming session.
We moved onto filming Natasha again but this time using over the shoulder shots, close ups, extreme close ups and medium shots as she searches for a book. As we are producing a trailer, we are aiming to film many angles of the same scene therefore allowing us to have a range of angles and shots so the trailer doesn't remain too consistent. We also used over the shoulder shots, so the audience are able to see what book the protagonists goes for - as this will be the first indicator to her mental instability.
