World War Z

•Starring actor’s name attracts a certain target audience (those who love Brad Pitt/who love his type of movies etc)
•Title of the movie – typography is the same in the poster and trailer, keeps it professional and neat, also draws links between all the methods of promotion and is therefore easier to recognise.
•Extended trailer in the background, starts automatically. Shows professional level of technology and skill.
•Reviews at the bottom which change every couple of seconds make people want to watch it as they are all exclaiming how brilliant the film is.
•Twitter and other social networking sites ensures that people are all well connected and the film gets around.
•Link to cinemas (search bar)

•Advertises new videos
•Has a new game you can download which encourages people to get into it and begin a following of the movie.
•Main horror colours: red white and black
•Huge Z in the middle links to the zombies, however the rest of the website including the trailer doesn't seem linked to zombies at all. More linked to action therefore it might be trying to aim for a different target audience. (trying to separate itself from normal zombie movies perhaps?)

Insidious

http://www.insidiousch2.com
•Red door in the centre, creepy, you don't know whats inside it. The rest of the screen is black which makes it mysterious.
•Animation, it opens when you go on the website, go inside the door and there is a screaming lady, suitable for genre and attracts a certain target audience.
•‘Come back soon to step inside the darkness’ suitable as it’s the second movie of Insidious
•Links to social networking ‘share the experience’
•Subscribe on youtube
•Has the release date and the title in the corner, memorable dates so people remember them.
•Very dark screen – suits the genre

Now You See Me

http://nowyouseememovie.com
•Website is divided up, has images of all the characters and well known actors, appeals to a certain target audience.
•Can get tickets through a link on the website.
•At the beginning some cards are thrown at the screen – animation. Attractive and impressive technology and skill.
•Allows you to get the soundtrack
•Colour scheme: gold and black
•Menu bar at the top
•List of the actors at the very top, advertising the actors more, they are the key defining feature of the movie. Don't even know what the movie is about. This is clear as the trailer doesn't play when you go on, showing that the plot line isn't as important as the actors they have on board.
